Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Digital Skills Trainer (Bank) at our Chichester campus. This role is on the Bank with Variable hours availableand in return, we will offer a competitive salary per annum.

The Digital Skills Trainer role:

As our Digital Skills Trainer, you will deliver digital skills course to adult learners at any of our college campuses or in house at company premises. We currently deliver courses on Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and the Adobe suite including Photoshop and Illustrator and we are always looking to widen our course scope.

This is a flexible role which allows you to accept work assignments when convenient to you.?Perhaps you are looking for that extra role in addition to your main job that enables you to earn a bit of extra money and give back to our students and help them gain new skills. 

Key Responsibilities of ourDigital Skills Trainer:

  • To deliver both practical and theoretical training sessions to a range of customers and clients either onsite or at employers’ premises.
  • To write training courses and specifications as required.
  • To devise a range of effective training materials, including on-line materials.
  • To provide effective feedback to clients.
  • To undertake evaluation to drive improvement.
  • To be fully conversant with course regulations and specifications for the defined area thus ensuring conformity and best practice.
  • To support the development and delivery of related programmes.
  • To liaise with other staff as appropriate to ensure a high standard of learning.
  • To assist with securing quality improvement within the Commercial area.
  • To effectively use the systems used in College (electronic or otherwise) to ensure student success, i.e. C-Space, Moodle, internal verification (This list is not exhaustive).
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times and ensure that    students are aware of safe practices and procedures.
  • To maintain up to date professional knowledge through attending staff development, industry seminars, appropriate reading, and other activities.

Our ideal Digital Skills Trainers hould have the below skills and experience:

  • Relevant industry experience in Microsoft and Adobe products
  • Teaching and assessing learners
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Adobe applications
  • Health and safety legislation
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in a related subject or equivalent experience
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to deliver outstanding teaching to a wide range of learners.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to investigate, solve problems and make decisions
  • Flexible in approach
  • Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
  • Committed to student support
