Job Description:
Are you a skilled Development Bridging Underwriter looking to make a significant impact in the lending industry? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our company's growth objectives.

As a Development Bridging Underwriter, you'll specialize in underwriting bridging finance for development projects, particularly those involving ground-up builds. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all bridging finance cases are underwritten in line with our policies, processes, and product criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite Development Bridging Cases:Manage the underwriting process for bridging finance cases related to development projects, from initial enquiry to offer and through to completion. This includes assessing risks, evaluating project viability, and determining appropriate terms and conditions for bridging finance.
  • Ensure Best Practice :Uphold best practices and strive for optimum performance in bridging loan completions. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency enhancements within the underwriting process.
  • Manage Allocated Broker Relationships:Cultivate and maintain relationships with allocated brokers. Serve as a primary point of contact for brokers, providing support and guidance throughout the underwriting process.
  • Coordinate with Credit Department:Work closely with the Credit Department to ensure the timely completion of bridging finance cases. This involves coordinating communication with clients, solicitors, and brokers throughout the underwriting process.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in underwriting development bridging finance cases, particularly ground-up builds, is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial information and make sound underwriting decisions specific to bridging finance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in underwriting, particularly related to bridging finance for development projects.
