Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Designer - Roofing & Cladding Systems will involve:

  • Designer position dealing with various roofing and cladding refurbishment projects
  • Ensure all construction drawings and designs are produced on time to a high standard
  • Review client specifications, surveys and manufacturers design information to produce designs
  • Managing the development and implementation of design proposals and ensure they meet the clients expectations
  • Scheduling of required materials to an agreed programme for buying
  • Liaise with Site Managers and suppliers to ensure the best design solution is completed
  • Ensuring information is passed between departments so designs have the technical back up required
  • Working on projects ranging in value from £75k to £1m

The ideal applicant will be Designer - Roofing & Cladding Systems with:

  • Must have design experience within the roofing, cladding and facade market sector
  • Sound knowledge of building regulations and building standards
  • Strong 2D AutoCAD experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, team player, who works well individually also
