Designer / CAD Technician

CAD Technician / Designer required to work for an industry leading company that specialise within the architectural glass, glazing, balustrades, partitioning and fire rated products. They work on exciting projects throughout the UK and require a CAD Technician to join their design department in Sussex.

The successful CAD Technician will have a background working within the construction industry previously. It would be advantageous if the CAD Technician has completed 2D and 3D drawings within the architectural glazing or partitioning sector previously, but not essential. You will liaise with other member within the design department to complete exciting 2D & 3D designs for projects nationwide.

CAD Technician Position Overview

• Independently work and manage timescales against project programmes
• Produce plans and technical drawings for projects
• Develop knowledge of the industry
• Work on exciting commercial architectural glazing and partitioning projects
• Maintain CAD blocks and standard details
• Liaise with other CAD Technicians
• Make changes to exiting designs

CAD Technician Position Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Ability to convert written and verbal information into technical drawings
• Knowledge of the construction industry
• Problem solving skills
• Good communicator

CAD Technician Position Remuneration

• Salary £26,000 - £35,000 (Dependant on experience)
