We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic DT Technician to join our dynamic team at an excellent secondary school located in Tower Hamlets.

As a DT Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the DT department and supporting students in their practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PRIORITY: textiles skills (sewing machine prep and maintenance, support in class hand stitching)
  • materials preparation (e.g. fabric cutting, organising of laser cutter materials)
  • digital maintenance e.g. organising/printing photos of student work
  • laser cutter supervision
  • display of work/exhibition set up as we prepare to invite the moderators in
  • support in helping set up cover in classrooms/printing resources if dept staff absent
  • support in lessons with small groups of students, as required

Resistant materials experience also desired but not essential for this term.

The role is full time, onging which could go permanent for the right person.
