We are pleased to be supporting an Engineering company based in Sunbury with their recruitment of an experienced Design Engineer. Salary up to £60,000 with outstanding benefits including annual bonus, private health & dental care, generous pension scheme, up to 18% employer contribution & and life assurance.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Design Manager, and collaborate with design/purchasing and workshop/assembly teams on design projects. The candidate will be expected to use 2D and 3D drafting software to create drawings and models of products, to organise, maintain and create engineering records for each product, and to ensure components and assemblies follow industry standards. Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ significant and demonstrated experience in mechanical design
  • Understanding of PTC Creo Elements/Direct drafting and modelling and Ansys FEA.
  • Have a high level of understanding of mechanical standards and production methods including turning, milling and grinding.
  • Knowledge of gear manufacturing and rotating machines is preferred
  • High level of IT literacy including Microsoft Office
  • Working within a small team but with a lot of autonomy. Be able to manage several projects simultaneously on a controlled and organised manner, with excellent organisational, planning, communication and time management skills.
  • Wish to be part of a professional team, to be well presented and to be communicative with a view to the development of a long term career.
