Design Engineer required. My client is an international leader in manufacturing polymer sealing solutions to many industries. They are now looking to expand their airframe and aero-engine seal design team with a Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Mechanical Design, have Catia experience, will be degree qualified and will be local to Swadlincote.

Design Engineer Position Overview

  • Introduce a new product range whilst working with Project Management and Commercial Development teams to achieve this
  • Design of airframe and engine seal solutions
  • Produce costing and BOM's
  • Planning of projects
  • Creating manufacturing drawings, technical proposals and concepts
  • Management of data configuration and ERP configurations
  • Work to continuously improve product range

Design Engineer Position Requirements

  • Preferably 3 years Design Engineering and Production/Manufacturing experience
  • Experienced with using Catia
  • Experienced with using Abacus
  • Strong understanding of Engineering Fundamentals
  • Qualified to degree level in an Engineering/Product Development discipline
  • Based locally to Swadlincote

Design Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary £32,000 - £35,000 DOE
  • Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:45-8:15 to 16:30-17:00, Friday 7:45-8:15 to 12:30-13:00
  • 32 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Pension
