ROLE- Draughtsperson

LOCATION- Fakenham

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist product designer and manufacturer in the architectural sector. They are looking for a Draughtsperson to join their team in Fakenham on a permanent basis.

The Draughtsperson will ideally have the following attributes:

  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Design, Engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position
  • Experienced working with metal and wood
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the architectural sector
  • Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks
  • Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
The Draughtsperson role will involve:

  • Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
  • Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements
  • Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements
  • Liaising with manufacturing providers
  • Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
  • Updating 3D models and drawings
  • Checking drawings for sign off
  • Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
