Design & Development Engineer
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Kings Lynn
  • Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 DoE (open to graduate applications)

We are seeking a Design & Development Engineer to join our innovative team. This role involves the research, design, and development of new products, processes, and tooling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD systems, particularly SolidWorks.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Research and develop new designs, processes, tooling, jigs, and assembly.
  • Maintain and document changes to designs and drawings of products, processes, software, and hardware.
  • Adhere to the engineering design change request process.
  • Conduct testing for research and development of products and processes.
  • Maintain and calibrate gauge, measuring equipment, and other special equipment, including weight counting equipment.
  • Perform product testing, measuring, and inspection in line with company standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Design or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in using CAD systems, with SolidWorks experience being highly beneficial.
  • Strong mathematical ability and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Quantitative skills, common sense, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Good comprehension of written and spoken English.
