Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Dealing with Child Protection plans, LAC status or in contested court hearings
  • Supervising staff in a children's social work setting
  • Developing staff through mentoring, coaching and training them in order to improve practice

This authority are in need of a Social Work Deputy Team Manager to lead, supervise and develop a group of Social Workers, ensuring the provision of a consistently high standard of service for children and families. These services will meet or exceed statutory duties and comply with local policies and procedures.

You will hold and manage a small caseload of the most complex and challenging cases within the department, including those children who may be on Child Protection plans, Looked After, or subject to contested court proceedings.
