Due to growth, We're seeking a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure the safety and welfare of the learners.
Reporting to the Quality Development and Improvement Manager & Designated Safeguarding Officer/Lead, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders to implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Designating Safeguarding Officer:
Collaborate with Apprenticeship Skills Coaches, Tutors, and employers to enhance awareness of safeguarding risks
• Identify training needs and deliver sessions to enhance staff knowledge
• Establish links with external agencies and provide support on safeguarding matters
• Facilitate safeguarding meetings and provide regular updates on at-risk learners' progress
• Analyse data and stay updated on policies and legislation
• Contribute to internal audits and regulatory visits
Requirements of the Designated Safeguarding Officer
- Experience in a similar role with up-to-date knowledge of legislation and guidance
- Experience working within Work Based Learning and up-to-date knowledge of Apprenticeship standards
- Proven track record in training and learning and development, with experience in facilitating training sessions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Designated Safeguarding Lead Level 3 or equivalent would be highly desirable
