This is a permanent, term-time only role, working 42 hours per week

Flexible shift pattern is available (Monday afternoon to Friday morning) which may include mornings, school hours and evenings.

FTE Salary: £34,264 - £37,721 per annum, Border Schools Allowance of up to £2,800 pa (conditions apply)

We have an exciting opportunity for a caring and committed individual to join our Residential Care (School Weekly Boarding) team at Linden Bridge School. As a Deputy Residential Manager working in our school’s residential department, you will be an integral part of our fantastic team who put our pupils at the heart of everything we do as we work together with colleagues to maximise their children and young people’s life chances.

You will support the Head of the Residential provision in providing management for the delivery of a specialist 24-hour waking residential curriculum for pupils and young adults at Linden Bridge School. Supporting the Head of Residential provision to undertake day to day management of the team and the residential education provision, attending briefings, communicating information, acting on key issues and meeting with staff. Working collaboratively with the school, parents/carer, and partner agencies to ensure the service is responsive to need, professional in approach and in line with the National Minimum Standards for Residential Special Schools.

We are looking for candidates:

  • That have attained Diploma in Residential Child Care (Level 3) and are willing to develop their knowledge further
  • With at least 3 years’ experience of working in a residential educational setting
  • Who can motivate and work as part of a thriving team
  • Experienced in carrying out administrative duties such as filing, recording, rota preparation and report writing
  • With good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including staff, pupils, parents, and the wider school community
  • Who are committed to SEND and inclusion striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for the pupils you support.
  • With knowledge or experience of working with young people with complex social communication needs.
  • That can manage a varied workload, problem solve whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • With an understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
