Deputy Portering Manager wanted for an excellent opportunity

Location:        Northamptonshire
Hours:             37.5 hours a week
Length:           Permanent
Salary:            From £28,401 per annum

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Responsible for the operational day-to-day Portering Services
• Deliver a responsive, cost-effective customer orientated service which meets the demands and expectations of the various stakeholders
• Responsible for the provision of a wide range of Portering services including patient movement, pharmacy, laboratories, medical gases as well as providing dedicated services to departments and clinics including Out-patients, X-ray, A&E and in-patients wards
• Provide clear day to day leadership and communication (both verbally and electronically) with all levels of staff and service users including encouraging, influencing and motivating staff
• Focus on safe systems of work and excellent customer service
• Prioritise own workload, work both independently and on own initiative, and as part of a team

Essential requirements:

• Experience of working within a managerial position for soft facilities services
• Excellent leadership and management skills over a large and complex site with a team of approximately 100
• Knowledgeable and confident in all aspects of staff management, Health & Safety legislation, HR issues and policies, recruitment and staff training & development
