Deputy Manager

Location: LS8, Roundhay, Leeds, West Yorkshire

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join our team. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall management and operation of the nursery. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery.
  • Oversee and support staff members, providing guidance and leadership.
  • Ensure the nursery maintains high standards of health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene.
  • Assist in planning and implementing a stimulating and age-appropriate curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursery and staff, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Handle any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
  • Support staff training and development to enhance the quality of care and education provided.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 3 or higher in Childcare and Education).
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a nursery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A passion for providing exceptional care and education for young children.
