Job Title: Deputy Head of Insight

Location: Milton Keynes, Hanslope park
Salary: £375-£450 day rate

Contract length: 9 months

Overview: We are currently seeking a Deputy Head of Insight to support the Head of Insight in leading a dynamic Customer Insight team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in gathering and analyzing customer feedback, fostering strong internal relationships, and driving actionable insights to enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Insight to manage and inspire a small yet efficient Customer Insight team.
  • Cultivate trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into the design process.
  • Advocate for the utilization of previous feedback among operational teams and facilitate the creation of actionable plans to address identified areas for improvement.
  • Conduct and meticulously document customer interviews to extract valuable insights.
  • Develop, distribute, and analyze online customer surveys, continually seeking ways to enhance insight quality and response rates.
  • Produce insightful reports tailored for operational teams and strategic board meetings, effectively communicating key findings and recommendations.
  • Effectively manage the workload of the insight team, adapting priorities to meet varying demands and ensuring timely delivery across all insight channels.
  • Act as a deputy for the Head of Insight as needed, demonstrating leadership and strategic thinking in their absence.

Team Structure: The Deputy Head of Insight will oversee a team comprising three Insight Managers and an Insight Coordinator, all reporting to the Head of Insight. The Insight Team operates within the Customer Relationships department, which serves as the pre-sales arm.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in customer insights, market research, or a related field, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in survey design, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prior experience managing a team preferred, demonstrating leadership qualities and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
