Job Role: Deputy Group Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
Location: Sheffield
Shift: Mon - Friday 8.30 to 5.00
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000+ DOE

Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to appoint a Deputy Group Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. As the Group is growing, this position has scope for promotion in the coming years.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with other H&S and Quality team members
  • Development and implementation of our H&S manuals and associated risk assessments and safe working procedures
  • Training and inductions for UK based employees
  • Support the development and maintenance of our extensive range of safety & environmental policies and practices throughout the UK businesses, including our ISO 14001 accreditation
  • Varied working environment across all our UK companies within Sheffield
  • Supporting management in continuous improvement programmes

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with auditing to ISO 45001, and 14001 standards
  • Experienced within a multi-site, steel / engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Hold a NEBOSH certificate qualification as a minimum, possibly working towards the H&S Diploma.
  • An environmental qualification would be desirable like IEMA Foundation Certificate or similar but not essential
