Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager or Team Leader to join the team. As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the residential service. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding for the children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily running of the residential service.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments for each child or young person.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions with staff and provide constructive feedback and support.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external agencies, families, and other professionals involved in the care of the children and young people.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in a supervisory position within a children's residential home setting.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and experience working within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and development of children and young people.
