Depot Manager – Kitchen and Bathroom Sales

Location: Lewes, UK

Salary: £46,000 base salary + Potential OTE up to: £65,000 based on turnover

Role Overview: As a Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations at our Seaford location. You will lead a team to drive sales, manage inventory, and ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for sales, and a commitment to delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership: Drive sales growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, setting sales targets, and motivating the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  2. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to maximize their potential and performance.
  3. Customer Service: Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service and solutions tailored to their needs.
  4. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and implement measures to optimize stock availability while minimising wastage.
  5. Operational Efficiency: Streamline depot operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement efficient processes to enhance productivity and profitability.
  6. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with trade professionals, contractors, and suppliers to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards to create a safe and compliant working environment.
  8. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably in the kitchen and bathroom industry or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
  • Sound business acumen and strategic thinking, with a focus on driving sales and profitability.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
