Role overview:

Reporting to the Supply Chain manager, you will work cross functionally across the business, utilise analytical marketing and sales data provided to estimate future product demands. You will monitor and report key stock shortfalls, a rolling 6 months trend as well as essential changes to sales forecasts that could impact on budgets. By providing data to the key stake holders in the business, you will drive the discussions around changes from previous forecasts, risks, make recommendations as well as promote improvement in the future demand forecasts.

The role includes:

  • Working with the commercial teams to develop detailed forecasts at product/SKU level based on the outlook by sales channels which include multiple retailers, wholesale customers, ecommerce channels and FOB customers.
  • Review sales results against forecast, investigate key drivers. Inform, support and refine the forecast for sharing with the wider teams.
  • Produce reporting as required by the Senior Management team. Forecast accuracy, slow moving and discontinued stock position.
  • Working with the Supply Chain Manager to develop the stock holding and flow strategy.
  • Update and implement KPI’s in order to review the accuracy of the forecast data and monthly stock valuations. Providing actions and commentary as required.
  • Provide data on the inventory analysis, overstocks, weeks cover etc and where the challenges are to the sales team.
  • Manage the S & OP processes and agenda to ensure that data is submitted as per the formats built and key dates are met.
  • Analyse the forecast data and liaise with each sales team on sense checking to ensure the information is as accurate as possible.
  • Support other functions within the Supply chain where required on product, production and imports.
  • Support product receipt and invoicing reconciliation and sign off.
  • Support UK Supplier management and PO creations.
  • Analyse stock management across multiple sites. Providing recommendations for stock re location based on forecasts.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Experience as a Demand Planner/ Analyst / Forecaster or a similar role
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working well with others
  • Good attention to detail and enjoys complexity.
  • Good commercial awareness
  • An excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience in inventory management/stock control, working with Supply Chain.
  • Experience of NAV (Microsoft Dynamics) would be an advantage but not essential.
