At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Defence Trainer at our Bovington site.

The Role
As a defence trainer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have the opportunity to deliver the next generation of armoured vehicle training to the British military.

Day to day, you'll train and instruct in the field of driving and maintenance to military personnel as specified by the customer programme.

  • Train and Instruct students in driving and maintenance on current & future armoured vehicles
  • Conduct formative & summative assessments
  • Submit course statistics and reports as required
  • Conduct driving activities for which qualified in support of the contract

This role is full time on site and will be based at the combat manoeuvre centre in Bovington

Essential experience of the Defence Trainer

  • Experience within a defence training environment
  • Knowledge of current and future armoured vehicles
  • Ability to comply with the ARITC code of practice for instructors

Qualifications for the Defence Trainer

  • Must have regimental instructor qualification
  • Level 3 certificate in education & teaching
  • Full Driving Licence including category H (Tracked)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
