Our client:

Our esteemed client is a leading UK-based language service provider who delivers high quality and professional interpreting, translation, and consultancy solutions around the globe.

The role:

Possible start date: TBC

Monday to Friday; 9:00am to 6:00pm

Total working hours: 40

What you will do in your working day:

  • Manage client and contractor booking inquiries and job allocations in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Respond promptly to telephone calls, emails, and portal requests, facilitating bookings and assigning tasks to interpreters.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and meet daily targets by prioritising job allocation effectively.

The training you will receive:

  • Level 3 Data Technician qualification.
  • All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes.
  • Functional skills in English & Mathematics, if required.

Prospects:

Potential contract extension or full employment

Qualifications required:

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A* - C 9/4) - Desired

GCSE or equivalent Mathematics (Grade A* - C 9/4) - Desired

Skills required:

  • Demonstrated professional demeanour, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional short and long-term memory to retain crucial booking details and client information.
  • Strong attention to detail, maintaining focus on daily tasks throughout the day.
  • Honesty, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility for all assigned tasks.
  • Proactive approach to resolving booking issues, including finding solutions and collaborating with linguists for optimal job assignments.
  • Adherence to company procedures and policies at all times.
  • Proficient typing skills, with basic knowledge of MS Outlook and database usage.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide two references from previous employers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative solutions.
  • Effective multitasking skills, adapting to the daily challenges and responsibilities of the role.

The apprenticeship:

Qualification: Data Technician Level 3

Duration: 18 months
