Data protection officer needed in Mold £23.03ph ref 1257787

• To provide expert, strategic data protection, advice and leadership for the Client to ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation. Advising and informing the organisation and its employees of their obligations pursuant to current Data Protection legislation. This will include advising services on the appropriate disclosure of personal Information, particularly with the Police, other law-enforcement agencies and recognised partners.
• To provide advice and guidance to the Client in responding to requests for information – FOI and EIR
• Handling complaints and working with the ICO re: FOI,EIR,DP(IRRs and incidents).
• To report directly to the SIRO and Chief Officer Team on all matters pertaining to the councils compliance with all of its obligations under Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Environmental the Data Protection legislation.
• To advise services on the appropriate disclosure of personal Information, particularly with the Police, other law-enforcement agencies and recognised partners.
• To provide advice to services regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments and monitoring their performance.

Full time hours on a temporary basis.
