Data Analyst

Data Analyst required. Bennett and Game are currently representing a very well-established Electrical company in the Renewable sector that specialise in Power Generation equipment who are seeking a Data Analyst to join the team. The perfect candidate will demonstrate robust analytical abilities, excel proficiency, and an enthusiasm for utilizing data to inform decision-making within the energy industry. The ideal candidate must have experience in the energy sector, and ideally be qualified in either statistics, mathematics, engineering or economics.

Data Analyst Position Overview

• Source and analyse data from utility meters, technical services, and Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) to extract valuable insights.
• Collect, refine, and analyse extensive datasets pertaining to energy consumption, production, and distribution.
• Create and manage Excel-based models and reports to analyse energy patterns, identify inefficiencies, and monitor performance over time, providing comprehensive insights into clients' energy usage.
• Conduct thorough data-driven investigations to uncover patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities within energy systems.
• Take ownership of customer energy efficiency savings, overseeing monitoring efforts, collaborating with the team to interpret data, and communicating actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Aid in crafting reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively visualize and communicate key metrics and performance indicators.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in energy analysis and data management to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

Data Analyst Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or economics.
• Previous experience in data analysis, ideally within the energy sector
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including adeptness with pivot tables, data visualization, and formula manipulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting
• Previous experience utilising data visualisation tools, for example Tableau, Power BI would be advantageous
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R would be advantageous

Data Analyst Position Remuneration

• Salary £35,000 - £40,000
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
