Customer Service Representative

  • Salary: £25,000- £30,000

We are seeking a proactive Customer Service Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in generating new business contacts, providing an initial overview of our products and services, and ensuring systematic follow-up of opportunities to maximise business potential.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Engage with customers to inform and educate them about the benefits of our product portfolio, answering any follow-up questions.
  • Make outbound calls to potential prospects to generate interest in our offerings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, offering support, information, and guidance.
  • Ensure regular and systematic follow-up of leads to maximise order input potential.
  • Act as the primary contact for all customer enquiries, processing related sales administration tasks according to procedure.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, utilising CRM to research leads and identify potential opportunities.
  • Perform general administrative duties for the Management and Sales & Marketing Teams, including reporting as needed.
  • Process order entries and maintain up-to-date customer records.
  • Evaluate quotations and proposals to ensure they meet customer requirements and company best practices.
  • Participate in team meetings to identify new projects and contribute to sales growth.
  • Respond to incoming mail, website chat requests, and phone enquiries.
  • Maintain and update CRM opportunities and pipeline to meet targets.
  • Assist with the collation of tender documentation and marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise regularly with the engineering/technical team to align customer communications.
  • Follow up with customers for any outstanding information required to progress to the quotation stage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with sales administration procedures and documentation.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
