An established insurance business is collaborating with the team at NET Recruit to help fill a Customer Service Agent position, which has become available in the Cardiff area. With customer satisfaction at the top of their priorities, this business has seen a significant amount of success in recent years, leading to an excellent expansion plan and the intention of continuing this success into the next few years by not only growing their offerings but ensuring they have the human infrastructure to support their clients and continue delivering the high levels of satisfaction that has now been expected of them.

This role will sit in the heart of the business and the position holder will act as the main bridging point between the company and its customer base. It is of the up most importance that the position holder has a fantastic attitude, an ambitious and proactive attitude and ensure that they are focussed on delivering the very best customer service possible at all times. Potentially the position holder may be dealing with some complex issues, however this will only add to the dynamic and varied nature of this role.

Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Acting as a key point of contact and the first touch point for customers to handle their queries
  • Using a plethora of channels available to support customer needs, including via the phone, email and online chat
  • Proactively seeking solutions that address customer concerns, ensuring that both the customer and business will be satisfied with the proposed solutions
  • Striving to solve customer queries and escalating those that cannot be handled via the correct routes
  • Supporting the wider team where it is needed

What you will need to Apply:
The business is looking for strong customer service professionals with a good history of providing hands on support within a centre environment, handling high volume customer calls and emails. Candidates must be confident communicators and possess the ability to diffuse potentially tumultuous situations with reasonable solutions and a persuasive and empathetic attitude. Good IT skills will be valuable in this role and any exposure to the insurance industry will be highly coveted.

What you will get in Return:
The company are offering the successful applicant a starting salary of up to £28,000 depending on previous experience, specifically that relevant to the role. Additionally, they are providing a strong supporting package which will include a generous holiday allowance, with additional days able to be bought or sold, a market rate pension contribution and plenty of further rewards including employee assistance programs, health plans, life assurance, savings on company product offerings and other wide third party discounts.

As well as this, the company have suggested this role could be worked in a hybrid capacity once probation has been successfully passed. Alongside this, there will be the option for work related bonuses, and extra bonus schemes depending on call quality.
