Customer Service Advisor
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Peterborough
  • Salary: £24,095 - 1 x 6 Month FTC & 1 x 9 Month FTC - with a view to have on going work after this period. 

We are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service for Life Insurance. This role involves managing both inbound and outbound calls, ensuring efficient and friendly interactions, and taking ownership of customer needs to support first-time resolution. The ideal candidate will be a role model within the team, consistently performing against targets, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring good customer outcomes from a compliance and regulatory perspective.

Day to day of the role:
  • Provide support to customers by answering queries, making changes to policies, dealing with payments, raising claims, and supporting the overall administration of a customer policy.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and regulatory learnings to stay informed on business updates, services, and products.
  • Deliver the best possible customer service with the aim of retaining business and enhancing profitability.
  • Keep customers informed with the progress of their requests by issuing appropriate correspondence and liaising with the Admin Team.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities for improvements to processes and customer experience.
  • Complete welcome calls with customers who have taken out a policy through one of our brands.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Upsell products and services where possible to ensure customers are appropriately covered for life insurance and their cover meets their needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Familiarity with a policy administration system and knowledge of workflow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish a positive rapport with customers and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and polite when dealing with unsatisfied customers.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise complex tasks and use multiple systems efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to communicate with customers through various channels and methods.
