Customer Service Representative - NHSBT Inbound

On Site, Bangor, Northern Ireland role handling inbound calls from the UK general public, you will be working as part of a highly engaged and compassionate team that represents and supports the NHS Blood and Transplant Service

Job Overview

  • Start Date: 13th May 2024
  • Shifts: Full time 40 hours per week, full flexibility required Monday to Sunday 7am - 11pm
  • Salary: £23,795 per annum
  • Location: On site - Teleperformance UK Bangor, Northern Ireland site
  • Training Duration: 11 days Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, full attendance required 
  • Contract: Permanent

Skills needed to be a Customer Service Representative

We are looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to show attention to detail
  • Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good attitude and the ability to interact with lots of different people.
  • Professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment to a high standard.
  • PC skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems competently, with ease.
  • A good consistent typing speed
  • Take ownership of situations with positivity, resilience, and a dedicated approach to providing service excellence.
  • Able to work within a fast paced, engaging environment

Day to day responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative - work from home

  • You will have the desire to help all callers providing accurate information to the UK Blood donor base, resolving customer inquiries with speed and precision as well as booking in blood donation appointments
  • You will be self-motivated and have passion for assisting others to save lives and should have a real desire to understand, and the ability to deal with,  complex life experiences. 
  • Deliver a service where patience, empathy and building rapport are central
  • Manage databases, tools, applications and operating systems and create clear notes on customers’ accounts with relevant details and comply with company policies and practices
  • Update your knowledge through the associated guidelines and procedures and comply with company policies and practices
  • Strive to achieve first call resolution
