The Company

Our client is a successful and established company based in Hartlepool. They are looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join their team on a full time, temporary basis. If you meet the person specification for the role, please apply below.

The Role

  • Receive and enter customer orders onto the MRP system.
  • Review order confirmations and verify accuracy within 48 hours of order entry and notify customer.
  • Keep clients informed about order progress and status.
  • Take appropriate action to maximise punctuality and prevent delays.
  • Handle all order amendments, whether requested by the customer or company and communicate the status to all parties involved.
  • Work with Planning and Sales to determine inventory management plans for customers.
  • Respond and assist on all supply chain related issues.
  • Receive and manage customer complaints and enter into the database.
  • Liaise with Sales Managers to bring complaints to a close and complete the administration instructions accordingly.
  • Effectively escalate any issues to supervisors or senior managers where appropriate.
  • Maintain customer records and master data. Ensure its accuracy on a consistent basis.
  • Identify and proactively manage your training needs.
  • Provide cover to co-workers on holiday or sickness leave.

The Person

  • Previous customer service experience ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Experience of using ERP systems.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages such and Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Customer focused attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
  • Have effective time management skills.
  • Positive can-do attitude and a team player.
  • Be proactive with problem solving and working on own initiative.
  • Maintain and observe a high level of professionalism at all times.
