Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a Rotherham-based Industrial Manufacturing business to recruit a Customer Order Design Engineer to join their Design Team.

Reporting to the Customer Orders Design Supervisor, the Design Engineer will provide bespoke designs for non-standard applications.

Duties of the Design Engineer include:

  • Modification of standard components to suit non-standard equipment
  • Bespoke design for non-standard applications and equipment
  • Design of special test equipment to suit specific applications
  • Creation of new stock codes and special bills of materials
  • Daily liaison with internal and external customers
  • Daily liaison with workshops and inspection departments on engineering issues for both standard and special component; solving problems and agreeing on concessions
  • Assisting the Technical department with special enquiries
  • Assisting the assembly team on testing issues for standard and special components

We would be keen to speak with Design Engineers with the following skills:

  • Degree Qualified
  • CAD Literate
  • Good attention to detail
  • Previous experience within a similar industry
