Are you a Computer Science teacher with leadership experience? Looking for your next permanent teaching role?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Curriculum Leader of Computer Science who is knowledgeable and passionate about their subject. This is a full time, permanent role starting in September 2024.

The school is a large Secondary school based in Farnborough, and are a forward-thinking school with a strong sense of community and care for staff and pupils. As mentioned in their most recent Ofsted report, the school "gives a warm welcome to pupils, staff and visitors. Senior leaders and governors set high standards. Staff care about the pupils and do not give up on them". 

As the Curriculum Lead for Computer Science, you will be teaching 11-16-year-old children computer science and expanding the curriculum offer in years to come. The school has a high number of pupils who opt for the subject and we have strong links with local industries, universities and British / European space agency. You will lead a small dedicated specialist team, whilst supporting whole school STEM and e-learning initiatives. The aim, quite simply, is to make sure that every child, in every lesson is cared for and achieves academic excellence. This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative and motivated individual who wants to take the next step in their teaching career by joining a great teaching team. An opportunity exists to develop computing and e-learning school wide for a motivated and innovative individual.

The salary for this role is currently set at MPR/UPR with TLR2c.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject, with experience of leadership within a school

- Be capable of delivering inspirational and informative lessons to the full age and ability range of pupils at the school

- Excellent and effective classroom management skills

- Be organised and self-motivated, with a proven record for meeting targets and deadlines
