Criminal Defence Solicitor

A new opportunity for a NQ-4 PQE Solicitor has become available with an award-winning firm that is dynamic and progressive. This award winning firm is looking to strengthen its Leeds-based Criminal Law Department with the hire of a Criminal Defence Solicitor.

This is the perfect opportunity for a recently qualified Solicitor or an experienced Solicitor looking for a new challenge.  
 
In this role you will undertake Police Station, Magistrates’ Court and, if appropriate, Crown Court work. You will handle a range of criminal cases, from initial client consultations to court representation. You can expect to be working on some of the following:

• Representing clients detained at police stations
• Attending police stations
• Drafting instructions to counsel and expert witnesses
• Magistrates’ and Crown Court cases
• Appeals in the Court of Appeal
• Bail applications
• Other duties in line with the role of a Criminal Law Solicitor

The firm is looking for a Qualified Solicitor with a proven track record in handling criminal cases from start to finish. Recently qualified Solicitors will also be considered. Whilst not essential, duty accreditation would be desirable.
