A fantastic opening has arisen for a Credit Manager to work for a global organisation based in Staffordshire that offers a fantastic working environment. As the Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for the company’s default and recovery activities and leading a team of two.

Job Description:
 
As the Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing arrears, default, forbearance, termination of agreements, recovery of assets, and bad debt.
 
Duties for the Credit Manager will include:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of two in collections/recoveries who are field-based.
  • Assessing current collections procedures, identifying any areas of improvement, and implementing effective strategies
  • Developing a framework for setting policies and procedures for cases that are regulated by the Consumer Credit Act (including legal action) to effectively recover company assets and mitigate bad debt. Ensuring compliance with law and regulation at all times.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Liaising closely with a variety of external contacts including Liquidators, Administrators, insolvency practitioners, and solicitors where needed
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, anti-money laundering, DPA and fraud, etc
For the ­­­­Credit Manager role, it would be good to see candidates with:
  • CICM qualification
  • Experience in credit management roles (ideally in the asset finance sector)
  • Good knowledge of CCA regulation
  • Good understanding of B2B lending and risk management
  • Great communication skills
  • An excellent customer service focus and empathetic approach
  • Proven success in managerial roles
  • Strategic thinking, highly motivated with the ability to lead by example
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:45 pm
Salary: Competitive Salary

This role is commutable from Stoke on Trent, Longton, Uttoxeter, Stafford, Stone, Leek, Ashbourne, Derby, Burton upon Trent
 
The role would suit candidates with the following experience: Credit and Collections Manager, Credit and Risk Manager, CICM qualified Manager, Credit Control Manager
