James George Recruitment are seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join an expanding and successful company local to Halstead.
You’ll be joining an excellent team who can work individually but also support each other!
The office enjoys camaraderie, charity-raising efforts, team events and small competitions. You’ll also have:
· Performance based bonus (£7200p/yr) spread out monthly if targets are reached

The Credit Controller will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to credit control, credit management, debt collection, and debtors. This role will require some remote work, providing flexibility for the successful candidate.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Chasing overdue invoices by phone and email
- Updating your ledger on a daily basis and maintaining accurate records
- Carrying out credit checks
- Responding promptly to any disputes, and reporting to line manager for unresolved issues
- Attending monthly aged debt meetings
- Sending out monthly client correspondence and statements
- Manage a Ledger of 300+ client.
- Monthly aged debt meeting with line manager
- 40+ outbound call in a day
- Daily cash posting and allocation of payment.
- Conducted comprehensive customer account reviews to ensure compliance with repayment schedules.
- Proactively identified and advised on potential payment issues to minimise financial risk.
You will need
- Credit Control, Credit Management, and Debt Collection skills.
- Experience in managing debtors and financial transactions.
- Strong knowledge of finance principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Experience in the construction or related industries is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in French language
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Intermediate excel skill.
- Proven track record in reducing aged debt
