Working in Wolverhampton City Centre for a large education provider. Full time 37.5 hours per week based in the City Centre offices. £12.85 to £13.85 per hour dependant on experience.

Previous credit control experience is essential for this role and ALL experience must be showing on your CV.

The Post holder will be responsible for debt chasing on specified commercial and other public sector customers, and other Sponsors. To include Commercial companies, Local Authorities, NHS Trusts, PCT's, Funding Organisations and other Commercial customers. The Post Holder will need to negotiate the best outcome possible for the education provider.

Actively and regularly contact all customers by telephone/ email to secure payment of outstanding invoices and account balances. Current annual turnover is £160 million.

Prepare and plan for making outgoing calls, to ensure control of these calls is always maintained and a confirmed or positive result is achieved.

Maintain accurate diary notes to ensure payments are received as expected and to take any necessary follow up action.

  • Knowledge: Higher Education background or understanding of HE organisations
  • Having knowledge of Agresso would be plus.
  • Must be able to manage own work and meet pressured deadlines.
  • Must be able to work successfully both individually and in a team environment.
  • An excellent communicator who can establish rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Must be confident and robust yet diplomatic.
  • Excellent Excel skills, V-Look-up, Pivot tables and graphs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Professional and credible.
  • Strong technical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrable "can do" approach to work.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Aptitude and skills: Ability to show empathy to debtors needs whilst maintain collection focus.
