Full-time Position in Felixstowe / Office based 

£23,000-£27,000 per annum depending on skills and experience 

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? We're looking for a Credit Controller to become an integral part of adynamic finance team in Felixstowe! 

Your Role:

• Engage directly with customers through hands-on telephone approach to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payments.
• Actively chase cash term customers and invoices without credit terms to prevent delays in operations.
• Handle customer enquiries, provide copy statements, resolve queries, and issue copy invoices with efficiency.
• Evaluate new credit requests and set up new customers in our accounting systems with precision.
• Allocate large remittances and manage cash held on account with diligence.
• Send out customer statements at month end and monitor the sales ledger for potential issues.
• Escalate concerns to the Finance Manager when necessary and maintain a proactive approach in all tasks.

We Need You To Have

- Strong experience in multi-currency credit control.

- The ability to identify and address queries effectively.

- A process-driven mindset with ideas for working more efficiently.

- Proficiency in software packages and strong Excel skills

- Experience with Sage 200 (advantageous, but not essential).
