Impression Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside one of the top law firms in Harrogate, assisting them in their search for a Credit Controller on a full time, permanent basis. Our client has a lovely office space in one of Harrogate’s most desirable commercial premises, and you will be joining a loyal team, with some current employee’s length of service being over 15 years! You will take responsibility for the efficient recovery and effective management of debt across the B2B client base. You will be a high level communicator who is able to build professional conversations and relationships with businesses to reduce outstanding debt levels. You will be managing a ledger of debt outstanding with clients based across the UK, and will liaise with internal departments to achieve debt recovery goals.

Duties as Credit Controller:
  • Communicate with customers to ensure prompt payment of invoices.
  • Manage and maintain the sales ledger accounts.
  • Work within the wider finance team, forming strong relationships with cashiering and billing teams.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure debts are recovered.
  • Minimise bad debts.
  • Query handling and investigation.
  • Control account reconciliation.
  • Working with billings and cashier teams to achieve department goals.
Credit Controller personal/skill requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Credit Controller or similar position.
  • B2B collections (ideal not essential).
  • IT literate.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Able to maintain and develop strong working relationships.
In return you will receive a salary of between £26,500 - £31,000 per annum depending on experience and you'll be working full time hours Monday to Friday. You'll have access to a company pension scheme, health cover and life assurance, as well as receiving 25 days holiday per annum. This role does have some flexibility to work from home, with 2-3 days per week expected in the office.
