Credit Controller

Nottingham 

(Hybrid – 3 days in office)

£27,000

Company Background 

A financial services business who has experienced exponential growth is now looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

The role 

This role will include:

  • Build effective supplier and partner relationships to ensure timely payment.
  • Allocating payments to financial systems and accounts as a credit controller
  • Mitigate cash exposure and help to manage payments to external partners
  • Spot trends and risks and escalate to management as a credit controller 
  • Manage stakeholders and raise concerns over non-payments
  • Cash collection via telephone as a credit controller 
  • Investigate queries and proactively chase late payments from suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain records to track debt effectively and efficiently
  • Continuously improve our debt collection processes and reduce outstanding debt as a credit controller 
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the business
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding cash collection targets

The candidate

The perfect candidate for the Credit Controller will have the following skills:

  • At least 1+ years credit control experience in a similar fast paced business
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Complete and thorough understanding of end-to- end credit control processes
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to process financial data quickly and with a strong attention to detail
