Credit Controller Role Overview:

NC Associates are supporting a nationally operating, group business with a requirement for an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on an interim basis, to cover maternity leave.You will be responsible for a high value ledger, made up of key accounts (large group, national businesses) which are subject to a high level of focus. You will manage your ledger independently, however, will still support and effectively work alongside a small team to ensure the prompt collection of outstanding amounts.

Credit Controller Role Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collect outstanding debt from a ledger of high value accounts, ensuring that overdue balances are kept to a minimum.
  • Continually work to reduce the ledger value.
  • Ensure the prompt and effective resolution of queries to reduce any delays in payments.
  • Allocate incoming payments to the corresponding customer account.
  • Ensure an up to date audit trail of correspondence is maintained on each account.
  • Deliver an effective and efficient service to both internal and external customers.
  • Proactively work towards both personal and team collection targets

Credit Controller Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar Credit Control position, ideally within a larger group business environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • A result focussed mentality with the ability to work to agreed targets.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills, with the ability to perform reconciliations and produce reports.
  • A logical and methodical approach to tasks, to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Experience of using SAP is highly advantageous although not essential.
  • A positive and proactive approach to tasks and duties.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise your workload.
  • The ability to start work on a reduced notice period, commute to Salford 3 days per week and commit to a minimum 12-month contract.
