Credit Controller

  • Annual Salary: £30,000 - £32,500
  • Location: Hybrid – Crowborough & London, East Sussex
  • Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Credit Controller to manage and oversee the collection of outstanding debts from clients and customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the company's accounts receivable records, while ensuring timely collection of payments across a number of markets including the UK, German & Polish markets. The ideal candidate would have 5 years of experience in a similar role and have previous experience of working with EMEA and/or Global clients and offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chasing payment from Clients by phone and email
  • Escalate issues to relevant stakeholders including Project Manager, Account Execs or Senior Finance Management in a timely manner.
  • Sending monthly statements to Clients and reconciling the accounts.
  • Assist with management of Client Portal’s, ensuring processes are followed to obtain approval of invoices and payments made on time.
  • Dealing with client queries.
  • Building strong relationships with the Clients (Global and Local).
  • Manage intercompany receivable accounts, ensuring payments are made on time.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
  • O Level / GCSE Maths / English required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
