Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with an exciting business,  based in Sheffield City Centreas they look to recruit a progressive Credit Controller into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Credit Control Supervisor, the main duties of this role will include handling the Accounts receivables function from producing invoices and statements, dealing with all credit queries. This is a business critical role and therefore requires that the jobholder has a commitment to quality and on-going learning and development.

Duties of the Credit Controller will include:

  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the Company
  • Communicate with customers primarily via telephone (also via email) to collect in due debt & discuss account status and actions
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Identify changes in payment patterns
  • Working on customer disputes to help minimise outstanding debt and escalate as required
  • Provide accurate advice on billing queries
  • Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries
  • Propose write off on irrecoverable WIP and disbursements
  • Undertake account reconciliations as required
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required
  • Send out monthly client statements
  • Assist with the recording, approval of all third-party commission payments

Education/Training/Work Experience required:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in credit controller position
  • Experience managing high volume collections
  • Well organised and able to manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal English language & communication skills are required.
