Credit Control Administrator

Experience required:

  • Experience with high level administration
  • Some knowledge of credit control would be preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to make outbound calls
  • Good level of general education, with a minimum grade 4 (or equivalent) GCSE in Maths
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel
  • Attention-to-detail and accuracy are paramount
  • Full driver’s license

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and collate information necessary to open credit limits on customer accounts
  • Accurate and swift data entry of all payments (cheques, BACS, FP, CHAPS, etc.) on to the relevant customer accounts
  • Process bank transfer and cheque payments promptly for orders on mail order accounts to maintain timely delivery services
  • Ensure timely upload of bank information to facilitate the Direct Debit process
  • Keep customer information on credit accounts up-to-date, making sure any changes are carried out without delay
  • Responsible for timely generation and distribution of customer invoices, credit notes and statements
  • Support the credit controllers in their debt collection by issuing copy documents and raising invoice disputes with customer services
  • Dealing with queries relating to credit accounts, including questions about payment allocations
