A leading international bank with a solid foundation in the financial sector is seeking a Credit Analyst experienced in Commodity Finance.

*Primary Objectives:*
*Implement strategies to minimize the bank's credit-related losses through precise identification and measurement of credit risks in various proposals and reviews.

*Furnish clear, unequivocal recommendations to the Credit Committee, ensuring adherence to the bank's credit policies and maintaining objectivity in the credit assessment process.

*Consistently monitor and evaluate the credit risk within the bank's asset portfolio.

*Reporting Structure:*
Situated within the Credit Risk Department overseeing Credit Approval and Credit Management functions. The incumbent will directly report to the Deputy Head/Manager in the Credit Risk Department, the key person steering credit approval activities.

*Key Responsibilities:*

Compile exhaustive credit evaluation reports for diverse credit products, capturing transaction insights, financial risk metrics, and recommending credit enhancements where necessary. Ensure all transactions align with the bank's credit policies.

While the emphasis is on commodity finance, the role necessitates versatility to handle credit businesses from other sectors as per front office demands.

Critically evaluate proposals from the Front Office; draft and present credit opinions with impartiality to the Credit Committee.

Regularly update the Head of CRD, and the Credit Committee with comprehensive risk analyses and mitigation strategies.

Oversee post-lending tasks such as monitoring credit limits, analyzing borrower financial health, and guaranteeing compliance with all loan conditions throughout its tenure.

Conduct thorough credit reviews, gathering pertinent industry/customer data for new proposals and for existing clients on an annual basis.

Stay abreast of industry trends, ensuring early identification of potential credit risks.
Provide support to the Head/Deputy Head of Credit Risk as the role evolves.

*Qualifications:*
- Robust analytical abilities with a focus on details.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments, especially within commodity finance.
- Proficient communication skills to articulate complex financial data.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience in a similar role, come from a banking background with the ability to write reports.
