Our client are a fast growth business.

They are now looking for a Creative Lead to join the team.

Job Purpose

  • Oversee and lead a team of creatives, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction to ensure the successful execution of all creative projects, images, graphics, and videos for the PCG brands, for retail platforms, presentations, and social media.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and product development, to align creative strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain a robust creative workflow, managing project timelines, resource allocation, and priorities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality assets on time and within budget.
  • Liaison with the creative team and the wider business, providing clear communication, negotiating feedback, and ensuring all artwork, images, and videos meet brand guidelines and standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies, applying innovative ideas to elevate the visual storytelling of product content.
  • Create, evaluate, and approve all creative concepts, ensuring they align with the brand's messaging and resonate with the target audience, while maintaining a strong focus on visual aesthetics and usability.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the creative team members and freelancers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for file organisation and archiving of creative assets to ensure accessibility and consistency in future projects.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and creative meetings, encouraging a collaborative and open environment to generate fresh ideas and innovative concepts.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

These responsibilities and accountabilities require a blend of creative expertise, leadership skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of the organisation's brand and objectives.

Art Direction

Guiding and overseeing the visual elements of a creative project to ensure that the concept is effectively communicated and executed visually. They will focus on the visual aspect of any creative project. They will make decisions related to the design, photography, video, composition, colours, typography, and overall aesthetics that will best bring the concept to life.

Managing Creative Project and Creative People

This person is responsible for creating detailed creative briefs, storyboards, visual mock-ups, and examples of visual styles to guide the creative team in producing the final artwork, images, or designs. In addition to overseeing creative projects, the Creative Manager also handles the day-to- day operations of the team. They will be overseeing and coordinating the work of designers, photographers, video creatives and freelancers to ensure the visual elements align with the concept and brand guidelines. They must nurture the creativity of their team members, inspiring them to push the boundaries of their abilities and think outside the box. They understand the unique strengths of each individual and assign tasks accordingly, creating a balanced and efficient workflow.

Concept Creation

Generating the initial idea or central theme behind a creative project. They are responsible for developing the core concept, message, or storyline that will drive the overall creative execution. This requires a high level of creativity, imagination, and innovation. It's about thinking outside the box and exploring various possibilities to find the most impactful and relevant concept.

Quality Control

Ensuring that all creative deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, creativity, and brand consistency.

Crisis Management

Being prepared to handle any challenges or crises that may arise during the creative process and providing swift and effective solutions.

Resource Planning

Identifying the need for internal and external resources or freelancers and managing their integration into projects when necessary.

Industry Trends and Innovation

Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design and creative marketing to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the organisation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product teams, to ensure creative efforts are aligned with broader business objectives. It is very important that a collaborative management style is used to increase engagement and trust and ultimately get great results from different teams.

Miscellaneous Tasks

The Creative Manager will work closely with the Brand and Creative Team to ensure the completion

of creative tasks and the efficiency that they are executed. They will also undertake any other relevant activities as required for their role. This includes adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including those related to HR and health and safety.
