Position: Creative Art Specialist Location: Tavistock - Part Time or Full Time 

Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working alongside 4 large multi academy trusts within Devon & Cornwall. We are currently seeking experienced and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and maintain continuity of education for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging art curriculum that integrates various artistic mediums, techniques, and styles.
  • Teach a range of art disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and digital media.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity and take artistic risks.
  • Guide students through the creative process, from brainstorming and concept development to execution and reflection.
  • Showcase student artwork through exhibitions, performances, and community events to celebrate achievements and promote appreciation for the arts.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and community partners to integrate arts education across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary connections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification/license in Art Education or relevant teaching experience.
  • Proficiency in various artistic mediums and techniques, with a strong foundation in traditional and contemporary art practices.
  • Passion for nurturing creativity, promoting self-expression, and instilling a love for the arts in students.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment that celebrates the unique talents and perspectives of every student.
