The Supply Register are proud to be working with Rainhill High School (via the Stephenson Trust) and supporting them with all of their staffing requirements. Rainhill High is a popular school in the Prescot area who have a unique opportunity for 4 full-time Cover Supervisor from September 2024 to fill in for the absences of usual class teachers. This position is ideal for those who are thinking of going into Teaching but would like some first-hand, paid experience before committing to a PGCE for example. However, successful Cover Supervisors have previously included - Sports Coaches, HLTAs, University Students, Semi-Retired Teachers and many other people switching from other industries who have a passion for education and/or experience working with young people.

Responsibilities:

- Taking the register in the absence of the usual class teacher.

- Delivering pre-set work which the teacher has left for the students to be getting on with.

- Managing behaviour within the classroom to ensure students remain on task.

Requirements:

- A passion for education and working with young people.

- Previous experience of being responsible for a group of young people.

- A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
