Cover Supervisor

Location - Hastings

Salary - Up to £110 per day

Reed Education are currently working with a secondary school based in Hastings and they are seeking Cover Supervisors to join on a supply basis, initially. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within a school setting. 

Cover Supervisor Duties 

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the permanent teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
  • Providing assistance to students when needed, while not actively teaching the curriculum.
  • Implementing the school’s behaviour management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Adapting to different classes and subjects throughout the day, typically spending one lesson with each group of students.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as a cover supervisor is advantageous but not essential.
  • For graduates, a degree in any discipline, demonstrating your capability to work in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to follow school policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and students.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to daily tasks.
