Job Opportunity: Cover Supervisor at SEMH School in Shrewsbury

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join an esteemed SEMH School in Shrewsbury, working closely with KS3 and KS4 students.

? Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include supervising classes, ensuring a positive learning environment, and supporting students' educational and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising classes and managing behavior effectively
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans
  • Providing support to students with SEMH needs
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and SENCO to meet individual student needs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children/young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior effectively
  • Empathy and understanding of SEMH needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
