We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to support a Secondary school in S72 Barnsley area on a part time supply basis, with potential for a long term extension. The school is an ambitious Secondary school which values students and staff to follow their ETHOS of respect, ambition and inclusivity.

As a Cover Supervisor you are responsible for supervising and managing the classroom in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that all students are on task and complete pre-prepared exercises, supporting students who may require additional support, building quick rapport with students and other school staff. The Cover Supervisor role does not require any active teaching, marking or planning.

Cover Supervisor requirements:

• (Must) Hold eligibility to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad).
• Previous experience supporting KS3/4 students.
• Classroom management skills.
• Experience in other cover supervisor roles/ responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills.
