We are looking for a qualified, experienced Court of Protection Associates to join our nationally recognised Court of Protection department.
The Court of Protection team exert considerable focus on the quality of service provided to clients and referrers. An empathetic approach is essential but at the same time a pragmatic and commercial outlook is required.
You will be responsible for your own caseload of brain injury client work but will be provided with as much support as is required by our approachable team. You will be involved in making applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a deputy as well as for other orders such as statutory wills, authority to purchase property, authority to make gifts etc. In brain injury work you will be playing a crucial role in helping families put their lives back together after devastating and life changing events. This will entail working closely with litigation solicitors and Counsel, case managers, architects as well as the families themselves.
The work is challenging, demanding, varied and very rewarding. Tact, diplomacy, judgement and patience are skills you will have and learn to develop. There is a considerable slant towards teamwork and supporting colleagues, both junior and senior. The department is very friendly and lively and we actively encourage engagement in our business development activities.
