Are you a caseworker in local authority, or a legal assistant with an interest in court of protection work?

My client is a well-established law firm based in beautiful Warwick city centre and is currently looking to recruit a Court of protection Case Worker/Legal Assistant to join its Court of Protection Property and Finance team. The team manages the affairs and makes decisions on behalf of people who lack the capacity to do so and so this would be a great opportunity for those interested in the legal sector looking to make a difference in people’s lives.

As a Court of protection Legal Assistant your duties would include but not be limited to:

  • Managing a vulnerable individual’s bank accounts and property along with their utilities
  • Making applications to the Court of Protection
  • Undertaking benefit reviews
  • Purchasing items on behalf of the individual
  • Completing care funding reviews
  • Completing the office of the public guardian reports
  • Liaising with the family and friends of vulnerable individuals
